Dang guys! Cheers for coming over!
I'm a 30 year old, former aspiring actor, turned professional poker player. I've been a pro for almost 4 years. It's a very full schedule and a super heavy grind, but I'm excited to take on the challenge, and your support keeps me energized! The good vibes continue!
Q: Where have you been man?!
A: In 2017, I went broke. Bad lifestyle habits and poor bankroll management lead to me losing all my capital for a poker career. But fortunately I've been back for 4 years, and I'm feeling strong! Thanks to everyone for all the awesome support. Round 2 let's gooo!
Q: Do you do coaching?
A: Yup! Just drop me a whisper on twitch or a DM on my Twitter/Instagram, and we can talk about setting something up!
Q: What were your results in poker?
A: You can find my stats on www.sharkscope.com (rookie1609x) but search while you can, I'll probably block my stats soon! My biggest live cash to date was about $13,000 9 years ago - I won the entry in a bar league too! My largest online cash was in the $215 partypoker MILLIONS for $105,000(3rd place!) I had 80% of myself, but still my biggest cash to date!
Edit, 2020: Next Q/A I logged back in 2015. Keeping it as a reminder to where I once was. Q: I heard you owed Pokerstars money at one point?
A: When I originally started streaming, I was only playing 888 Poker for the reasons explained below. I want to keep this in my FAQ as a reminder to me to help myself move forward, as well as a story for you guys to know where I came from. Back when I was pursuing the full time grind (2013), I had a really sick roll (for me). I was playing 8-12 hours a day, 6 days a week. There was one month where I only took 2 days off. Any poker player will tell you that you WILL burn out and play bad if you spend that much time at the tables. That's exactly what happened. Because poor self control, an unhealthy lifestyle, run bad and playing way too many tables, I lost my roll. Once that happened, I tried to deposit more money onto my PS account using eChecks. I intentionally deposited more money than I had in my bank account. Pokerstars will debit this and let you play with the money, even though it actually takes a few business days to process. I knew this, thinking I could win my money back before the eCheck bounces, give PS back their money, and still have money left over to get back to a grind. OF COURSE that didn't work - because I'm a God Damn Degenerate.
Q: Dude, that's kind of rough. WTF is wrong with you?
A: Hey! That ain't nice! At least I'm better now! I'm glad I've been able to acknowledge those problems and be proactive about fixing it. I like to think I'm pretty aware of my flaws and inadequacies. I think about them a lot, but not in any kind of negative way. The first step to finding a solution is recognizing the problem. I know the problems I have in my life, and I'm working every day, bit by bit. I'm only getting better!
