You may know me from the fun things I do in Warframe... otherwise you probably don't know me, but I'm glad you wandered my way! Previously an official Warframe Partner (until the partner program ended recently), I am a Twitch Affiliate and a gamer girl who likes to spend my spare time playing games with friends here on Twitch. I have multiple sclerosis, and around 7 years ago I had a massive ischemic stroke. Half of my body became paralyzed, and in an instant life as I knew it changed. Over time, I re-learned how to walk, how to talk, how to read, how to write, and how to game! The experience gave me a real passion for making things accessible to disabled folks, and although I already worked in game development I decided to narrow my focus to accessibility. I am now a digital accessibility consultant with a specialization in video game development , and I’m lucky to get to work with developers on making games more accessible!
As well as being disabled, I am also queer, so I am dedicated to making this stream a safe place for queer folks, women, Indigenous folks, Black folks, People of Colour, and other minorities to hang out. I have a diverse mod team with many facets of lived experience of opression and marginalizartion, especially covering areas that I don’t have lived experience myself, but I recognize that growth should never stop. There is always more to do in order to be a good ally, so my discord inbox is always open to feedback on how I can do that better.
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions I get about myself:
Q: Are you in a wheelchair?
A: Sometimes! Around the house or going short distances I usually walk, but in situations that require a ton of walking or on days when I’m in more pain, I do still use a wheelchair. So if you see me at a convention, for example, 9 times out of 10 I will be in my wheelchair. But if I’m going out for coffee with a freind on a day when I’m not in too much pain, I will probably be waliking. One of my favourite things about having a platform online is being able to show people that disability isn’t always black and white. That disabled folks exist on a spectrum, and there are many wheelchair users that are only part time in our chairs. It’s a lot more common than you probably think!
Q: What games do you play?
A: A little bit of everything! I'm partial to MMO's, and I play way more Warframe than anything else. Other games I like to play often are Paladins, Dead by Daylight, Runescape, and BDO! But my gaming tastes are diverse, you'll see me playing everything from horror to indie games to first person shooters. Lately (since Covid-19 times) I’ve been pretty heavily focused on comfy games like Animal Crossing, My Time at Portia, and Golf with Your Friends. I'm always up for suggestions if there are any games you think I should check out!
Q: Why don't you have a set schedule anymore?
A: As my career as an accessibility consultant has taken off in the past few years, I've decided to focus on streaming as less of a job and more of a hobby. As a result, my stream content today is a lot different than my stream content was 4 or 5 years ago. This change has allowed me to play what I want to, rather than feeling like I have to play certain games in order to retain high viewership. I'm not beholden to any sponsorships or quotas, and I can just relax and have fun. This also allows me to take time off when I need a break to tend to my mental or physical health. Having more of a set schedule may be something I return to in the future, but for now I'm enjoying the break and the opportunity to be more casual with my streaming. I've got all my streams set to record as VODs that can be watched later, and you can also always turn notifications on or follow me on Twitter if you're worried about missing a stream. I appreciate the interest in seeing me go live!
I have a career as an accessibility consultant with a specialization in video game accessibility. If you need help making your game, office, website, or any other experience more acessible, I can likely either help you or redirect you to one of my colleagues who can.
For all such business enquiries, as well as twitch-related appearance requests or speaking engagement bookings, please email me and I will do my best to accomodate your needs.
If you want to get a hold of me more easily, join my public Discord server. Everyone is welcome, as long as you are willing to play by the rules! Don't forget to give them a quick read when you join in.
PLEASE NOTE: this server is for people age 18+ ONLY. Same rules as this stream, so I assume that won't be an issue for anyone wanting to participate in stream activities. Sorry to anyone who's bummed out by this; I'm in my 20's, so hanging out on mic with a bunch of people on the internet under the age of 18 would just feel plain creepy. Please respect that, friends! If you are under 18 and want to keep in touch with me please feel free to follow me on Twitter!
-Don't be a jerk. My moderators and I have very little patience for any bullying, serious trolling, or intentional malice and douchebaggery.
-Racism, LGBTQ-phobia, ableism, sexism, xenophobia, etc are not cool. We are a very diverse group, and it's important to me that we all feel safe and welcome here.
-Don't come in here to promote your own stream or websites. I won't spam your chat if you don't spam mine, deal?
-I don't pretend I'm some sort of expert gamer, I just play to have fun. Try to keep the backseat gaming to a minimum and remember that I'm just here to hang out and have a good time with you guys!
Want to keep up with my gaming schedule, giveaways, and other fun stuff going on in my stream? Then follow me on Twitter, where I like to overshare about my life, post pictures of my dog, and tweet mildly insightful things while in the bathroom.
...Don't judge me. I know you poop-tweet too.
You'll never hear me ask for donations, but any that come my way are super appreciated. You guys are awesome, and all of your donations go to more games which helps me to continue bringing you fun material with more diverse content!
All donations are non-refundable. By clicking on the "Donate" button and completing the transaction you hereby certify that you are the rightful owner of the funds being donated in this transaction, and are aware that these funds cannot be withdrawn / charged back. Sorry for any inconvenience this policy causes, but it protects me through Paypal against chargebacks. Thank you for understanding.
You can find the link to my donation page here. You can also cheer to me with bits by typing "cheer" and then the number of bits you want to donate in chat. (For example; "cheer100" would donate 100 bits.)
Much love and appreciation to you all, whether you donate or not! I'm just happy you're here.
Due to my health concerns, I unfortunately can't stick too strictly to a streaming schedule. Some days are harder than others, and I won't always be able to push through the pain to get out of bed and stream. I will try to stream on weekends and other times throughout the week as well, but I can't commit to it on specifically scheduled regular basis. As things continue to improve for me, I hope to be able to offer a bit more of a reliable schedule, but in the meantime I appreciate your patience and support!
