In late 2020, we terminated our Affiliate agreement with Twitch.tv. We were initially very excited to be one of the first Twitch channels to enter the program when it was first introduced in April 2017. It allowed us to enhance the experience for the viewers by giving us higher priority servers, and offered several quality options for our streams that users with slower connections could still enjoy. It also allowed the viewers to further interact with our streams using Subscriptions, Bits, Cheers, Channel Points, and Emotes. Since then, the program has drastically worsened. Some of you felt dissuaded from supporting us through Twitch's tools because they take half of all revenue generated via those means, and more-so when Twitch began aggressively forcing unskippable and unblockable advertisements on all affiliate channels. On further research, this also appears to be the case for full Partnered channels as well. We determined this was not beneficial to us, but more importantly was not beneficial to you the viewer. We're not interested in worsening our user experience for what amounts to nothing but a status symbol. Since leaving Twitch's Affiliate Program, we've come up with a variety of ways for you to directly support us.
