You are now a member of the House of Meza! We're glad you're here. In this house, we believe in kindness, acceptance, and mutual respect. We're a house of diverse individuals with shared values who support each other and prioritize our well-being. To keep our house a safe and happy place, we have a few rules that we ask everyone to follow:
We hope you feel at home here in the House of Meza. Let's make this a wonderful community together!
Meza had a good life. He had a job that he enjoyed, which allowed him to live comfortably. One day, he decided to start streaming video games as a way to have fun and connect with like-minded people. As time went on, he built a community of people who found a home away from home in his streams. However, Meza never quite felt like he belonged among the professional streamers. Unlike many of them, he wasn't streaming to make a living and didn't measure success by the same metrics.
This feeling of exclusion started to wear on him over time. He couldn't feel fulfilled in an environment that constantly told him he wasn't good enough, even though the standards he was being measured by didn't matter to him. He took a long break from streaming and eventually came back with a new perspective. He wanted to actively go against the norms of the streaming profession and play games for fun again. He wanted to prioritize mental health and real life over activities that didn't bring joy.
And so, he created the House of Meza. This was a place where anyone could come and escape the hustle culture that was so prevalent in the streaming world. There were no schedules or enforced categories, just a simple question before every stream: "Am I going to have fun?" If the answer was no, there would be no stream, and that was accepted by the community because they all wanted each other's lives to be better.
The House of Meza stands for something different. It is a place where people could come and be themselves, without feeling the pressure to conform to a certain standard. Meza had created a space where everyone is welcome, and where the only measure of success is happiness. The House of Meza had been born out of a desire to escape the hustle and bustle of the professional streaming world, and it would continue to provide a haven for those seeking a different kind of streaming experience.

Most of my programming related thoughts and sometimes unconventional "rules" come from the past 27 years of experience of leading teams of all sizes. Please bear that in mind when you're trying to argue about something. Just because something works for you alone, it doesn't mean that it works for large teams over time.
My focus and priority is always on maintainability and long term quality.
If you don't agree with something
You have a right to your opinion, you are free to voice it as long as you're not aggressive about it. Software is an art form and many paths lead to the same solutions. You're a big fan of Tailwind? Great. I'm not. Can we still make the same thing? Yes! Let's move on.
